OnePlus has finally announced its new smartphone – the OnePlus X in India. OnePlus announced two variants of its smartphone – Onyx and Ceramic.
The OnePlus X is the first ‘Make in India’ device for which local production will start in Hyderabad. Both devices will be available on Amazon India. The peculiar invite-only system with OnePlus stays with the OnePlus X as well. The Ceramic variant will be limited edition and will be available starting 24 November. Only 10,000 units of the Ceramic variant would be put on sale.
OnePlus India general manager Vikas Agarwal said –
We are still following our one flagship device per year policy. The OnePlus X targets a different segment altogether. We did not want to reveal our plans of launching the X version when the OnePlus 2 launched. However, OnePlus X was always in our agenda. And it is not a run-off-the-mill product that we have launched in haste.
